Key responsibilities
- Closely monitor the market conditions in strategic sourcing categories and develop solid risk mitigation plans.
- Develop and execute effective procurement strategies for the allocated categories at group level.
- Continuous search of alternative supply sources in the global markets.
- Lead the RFQs, negotiation and evaluation process with the existing and new suppliers.
- Steer the contracting process in regards to structure and commercial terms in close collaboration with the legal team.
- Collaboration with the R&D team in regards to new product development as well as continuous search for material cost improvement of existing products.
Candidates Profile
- Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, Science, Mathematics, Engineering diploma. MBA would be considered as a plus.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in supplier category management, ideally in the chemical industry.
- Results driven personality with strong social and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking, business acumen and team spirit.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in English language.
- Availability to travel internationally.
